We are Proud to Announce that the study of Autism and Therapeutic Riding is being published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, a peer-reviewed scientific journal! The title of the article is “The Association Between Therapeutic Horseback Riding and the Social Communication and Sensory Reactions of Children with Autism” by Ward, S.C., Whalon, K., Rusnak, K., Wendell, K., & Paschall, N. 2013,10.1007/s10803-013-1773-3.
We appreciate the College of William and Mary ‘s partnership on this project and our continued research on autism. We also appreciate the volunteers who make all of our work possible. We are indebted to Wade Johnson, M.D. for his vision regarding researching the effects of therapeutic riding across disabilities. Dream Catchers is seeking donations to support the continuation of our research as well as operating funds to support all of our programs.
