David Anderson
Advisory Board MemberDavid is a graduate of the College of William & Mary and has been a Williamsburg resident for over 25 years. He is happily married to Anne Anderson and they have three children. David is Senior Vice President of Davenport & Company LLC, a member of the Board of Directors, and a Certified Financial Planner. In addition to being an advisory board member at Dream Catchers, he is on the Board of Directors at Lackey Free Family Clinic and Chairman of the Capital Campaign Committee at Williamsburg Community Chapel. David is also a tennis coach at Williamsburg Christian Academy.
Scott Anderson, DVM
Advisory Board MemberScott graduated from the first class of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. His first position was in a mixed animal practice in Pennsylvania. His desire was to pursue a career in equine veterinary work, so he went on to do an internship in a horse practice in Apex, NC. Scott returned to the Richmond area to be closer to his family. He worked with Dr. Milton Kingsbury for 2½ years before purchasing Woodside Equine Clinic in 1989. Outside of veterinary medicine, Scott spends time with his wife Laura, daughter Ariana, and their 50 and growing number of animals. He also enjoys bike riding, skiing, boating and reading.

Advisory Board MemberKelley Clark
Advisory Board MemberKelley has a masters degree in Education from the College of William & Mary. She taught middle school/high school math in WJCC for 7 years. She is a member of Kappa Delta Pi (Honor Society in Education). While staying at home to raise her four children, Kelley volunteers at Meals on Wheels, Grove Outreach Center, and Stephen Ministry. Kelley joined the board at Dream Catchers because she fell in love with the work being done here. “It has been incredible to see the children who are being helped and the countless hours that so may dedicated volunteers put in.” Kelley just recently began teaching again at Jamestown High School.
Steven Cummings, MD
Advisory Board MemberA native of New Mexico, Steve has been in Virginia since 1973. He was in the Emergency Department at Williamsburg Community Hospital until 1997. He is currently with New Town Urgent Care. Steve is a past co-chair of Avalon Center for Women and Children and is involved with the Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Response Team for the City of Williamsburg.
Michael Derrig
Advisory Board MemberMichael graduated with a BA from Lynchburg College, and completed graduate work in government at the College of William & Mary. He was formerly a teacher/coach at Walsingham Academy in Williamsburg. He is currently retired, after serving as President of Kingsmill Realty, Inc., Vice President Real Estate Sales, Busch Properties, Inc., Anheuser Busch affiliated companies. Michael has been involved with Dream Catchers in various board and advisory board capacities since 1997.
Sue-Ellen Fitzpatrick
Board MemberSue-Ellen is married, with three children and six grandchildren. She has been District Commissioner of The United States Pony Club in Woodland Hills, CA where she worked and trained with Hilda Gurney, America’s Medalist Dressage Olympian. As a competitor, Sue-Ellen has collected many blue ribbons and best of shows. In business, she has been an agent for Northwest Mutual, HMO Marketing Manager for Blue Cross Southern California and a volunteer with the United Nations in New York as well as for the Theater Guild and Public Television. At Dream Catchers, Sue-Ellen is a PATH certified riding instructor and volunteer. She studied at University of Toronto, Pierce College in Los Angeles and graduated from Redlands University. Her academics continue with William & Mary’s Christopher Wren program.

Advisory Board MemberLarry is a Mississippi native and graduate of Mississippi State University. He met and married his wife Emily in 1966. They have two sons and four grandchildren. After serving three years in the Army as and officer, they moved to Williamsburg where he founded McCardle Realty which he sold in 1995. As a Realtor, among other awards, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990 and served in various offices of the Board of Realtors. He has also served on a number of boards in Williamsburg and is a strong supporter of local and national charitable organizations and foundations. He is a pilot and big game hunter and fisherman and spends his retirement between Williamsburg and their home in Colorado as well as his remote Alaskan cabin.

Board Member* Sue is a former Board President.
Sue is a native New Yorker, growing up on Long Island. She moved to North Carolina and received her undergraduate and graduate degrees at UNC-Greensboro. After working as a Clinical Dietitian in Chapel Hill (while her husband was a medical student), and Richmond (where her husband was an OB/GYN resident), she moved to Williamsburg, Virginia, where her husband, David, in now in practice. Sue is one of the founding dietitians for the Health Education Center at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. She just celebrated her 20 year anniversary with the hospital in 2012. Sue teaches the Healthy Living with Diabetes Group Program, as well as providing medical nutrition therapy for individuals. She has a special interest in pediatrics, but enjoys working with people of all ages. In her spare time, she volunteers at Dream Catchers in lessons and on the Board of Directors, having served as both Secretary and Board President. When she is not at the hospital or Dream Catchers she loves to cook, hike, ski, and travel to National Parks. Both her children, Emily & Thomas, are “almost” college graduates.

Advisory Board MemberPeter Wendell, DDS
Advisory Board MemberPeter is a native of western New York. He graduated magna cum laude from Westminster College in Pennsylvania, and completed dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentistry in 1981. His postgraduate residency in orthodontics was completed at the University of Connecticut. Peter is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In addition to maintaining his private practice, he serves as a part-time associate clinical professor of orthodontics at VCU’s School of Dentistry. He has been inducted into Omicron Kapp Upsilon, the national dental honorary society. Peter established his practice in Williamsburg in 1984 where he and his family reside.
